Over the past two years, OPENrestaurant has presented variations on a caffé for neighbors in and around the Residence Botkyrka apartment for artists in Fittja, a suburb of Stockholm.

In this kitchen and open platform, neighbors from Fittja's diverse cultural communities have been contributing recipes and ideas about greater Stockholm's food system.

For the New Biennial for Art and Architecture in Fittja, September 13 - October 12, 2014, OPENrestaurant and Ayhan Aydin will present Variations on a Caffe in the new Fittja Kitchen, a community space for food and ideas in Fittja, located in the public park space between the Fittja Tunnelbana and Fittja School.
